Breaking Dawn Review

so, im probably gonna be repetitious of what others have said but I must offer my two cents. Like many have said I guess its worth another read to really have an accurate feeling about it. But, I must say the book was so not like home. Aside from the first part, and some of jacob's book (which i thought was quite good), it kinda went down hill from there. It was a bit fanfic like to make bella pregnant, but I also think its the way it was executed. Some one else said that it seemed writing The Host affected this story, and I def agree because reading about renesmee's conception, birth, etc was not the pretty and pink pregnancy one would expect. and then to have the child go from a crazed demon, sucking the life out of bella, to the most beautiful, almost hypnotizing child in the world was just too much of a gap.

Bella's response to the child was a bit forced, like she had a split personality or something. You go from a girl that barely wants to get married, and now all of a sudden you're this mother figure who's willing to give her life for the child? Even if this is the case, it doesnt seem likely that it would happen in a split second. Have Bella go through some doubts, or something. Edward biting bella to get the child out; kinda sick. Jacob then imprinting on the child was unbelievable in a bad way. It was almost as if Steph didnt want to go through the trouble of creating an interesting character for Jake to imprint on. And what's bad is that one could see it coming a little.

Vampire Bella was a bit dull, like nothing really made her as special and key as she was when she was human. Oh, and the part I hate the most is when she is asking edward something about if he misses her smell, and he likens her human smell to the pain she experiences when she smells her first human, and he likes her much better now. Thats so not Edward. Edward adored her smell in all the rest of the books, lol.

Yeah it was very OC.

and it seems as far as the movies go, it would be smarter if they only made up to eclipse. As I was reading I was like, this cant possibly translate into a good movie. It should def. end with Eclipse. In my mind, as far as the series goes, Im having problems even accepting Breaking Dawn as part of the twilight saga. Like it would have been better to leave it with the open ended Eclipse ending, than to create a story that just seems like pieces of crazy thrown together. It wasnt authentic.

Wow. I really wish I loved it more, really. She'll still be my fav writer, but could it be possible that fame went to her head? That she didnt give herself enough time to really flesh this book out? That she was possibly influenced by fanfic ideas, and The Host. I tried to really get into it, but my inner writer kept nudging me, no pun intended. It was as if she wanted to please everyone so she included every possible ending available. In some ways, it would've been better to kill off one of the major characters, and have the story-line make sense, than try to make everyone happy. It also seemed like she might not have known the complete storyline beforehand. Like things might have started to spin out of control but she kept it in anyway. This makes me sad, lol.
What's funny is, I just finished watching a youtube video of the breaking dawn concert series event, and she explained that 'Forever Dawn,' which was the sort of outline to breaking dawn, would never see the light of day because it sucked; and that she added all the key good stuff from it to breaking dawn. I was like, aww steph, unfortunately it's still a bit sucky. I almost wish this was a joke, and that she had more coming to us.
I dont know. Still love you Steph, but really what happened with Breaking Dawn?

Well at least we still have Rob and Kris performance to look forward too, lol <3
